4,685 people enter competition to win a Me Finder!

I’m gobsmacked! We ran a competition in Yours magazine, in the UK, in November to win 35 Me Finders. Apparently 4,685 people entered the competition to win one, that is so awesome.  Sorry to the 4,650 people who did not win, but we’re running the competition again in April and you can buy them here online :-)

Me Finder is also featured in  the February Half Term edition of Primary Times.

It’s days like today that really give me a boost on this long old journey with Me Finder to help us help our children when they get lost. It’s actually not been that long – as friends keep telling me – but I guess when you’re totally new to something it feels that way. Still talking to distributors around the world and edging closer to my dream of getting Me Finder in the shops so that more people can see it and everyone who thinks it’s a good idea for their child can buy one… Watch this space!

Thanks to all the mummy bloggers for their support and enthusiasm – metalmummy.com mummyalarm.blogspot.com to name just two from yesterday & today… Great that www.familytravelkits.com are launching now too – such a great idea and they stock Me Finders!

Please spread the word – tell your friends, email me your feedback or visit Me Finder’s Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Me-Finder-Show-Tell/147404721967960?v=wall&filter=1

Tomorrow’s Friday – yeahy! Sam’s IT teacher is doing a parent workshop on Gaming… can’t wait, maybe Mr Dawes will teach us how to play Star-Wars-Attack-of-the-something-I-can’t-remembers so that I can help Billy. It’s tough when your older brother can do all this stuff and your mum’s useless at it.

Happy Friday!

FREE Postage & packing!!

Having had a little difficulty with the postage module on the website…

the joys of running a small business – just like Tigger, you’re “the only one”!

Sunday two customers enjoyed free postage & packing and yesterday the system tried to charge two other customers double P&P, yikes!

I have done the maths and decided for website sales I am going take a leaf out of Santa’s book and offer FREE postage and packing.

A much better idea!!!!

We’re off to Mini Rugby for the Guinness Book of World Records!

This morning we’re off to HK Football Club to try and break the World Record for a Mini Rugby tournament.

Despite his plaster only coming off last Saturday, Sam is very excited to be taking part. (Hope his consultant does not hear about it.)

Sam LOVES the Guinness Book of World Records and it’s his first choice of library book every week… A chance not to be missed!

Then the Bledisloe cup this afternoon – Australia vs New Zealand.

A great day for rugby in Hong Kong!

It was at a Mini Rugby tournament eighteen months ago that we lost Billy and the seed for Me Finder was planted. Today, we are wearing them.

Now we know how to find mummy quickly when we get lost – hurrah!!!

Off to Operation Smile’s “Wonderland” event this morning

Everyone very excited to be going to the Wonderland event at Toys r Us this morning. Ben and Gwen, Nerf, Barbie and face painting, hurrah! (Not sure about the late breakfast of candy floss and ice-cream but it’s all in a good cause).

We’ve donated some Me Finders to the lucky dip and also 50% of sales from orders from this event will go to this really great charity – Operation Smile.

It’s in a big shopping centre and it will be crowded. Me Finders at the ready, will let you know how we get on!

“New needs friends” Thankyou to all our friends who’ve supported me so far!

"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations, the new needs friends."
